    Your child will add on to the techniques acquired in previous stations, begin learning proper freestyle stroke by combining the skills mastered in station 4, and will learn backstroke.

    Per community center policy, parents who have swimmers 9 years old and under must remain on deck while their child is in swim classes.

    152326 - Stroke School

    Swimmers in Stroke School will learn advanced elements and stroke efficiency in all four strokes including breastroke, butterfly, backstroke, and freestyle. Stroke School meets twice a week and includes the skills taught in Stations 7 and 8 of the Mason Swim Academy Learn to Swim program.

    Please note, a pair of long swim fins (with non-adjustable backs) is recommended for all upper level swimmers.

    152327 - Swim Fit

    SwimFit is Station 9 and 10 of Mason Swim Academy’s Learn to Swim program. It focuses on building the swimmer’s strength and endurance in every stroke through drills, multiple laps, and on-deck coachingfrom a certified coach. SwimFit allows swimmers to get the feeling of being on a swim team without the competition.
